With the temperatures so hot this summer, the question that has the overheated minds of wine lovers on edge is this: what is the fastest way to chill a bottle of wine?
Quick: although it is quite common to do so, putting a bottle of wine in the freezer is not a very efficient method of cooling it. There is simply too much air in the freezer and air does not drop in temperature as fast as water.
Faster: put the wine bottle in a chiller sleeve before putting it in the freezer. Cold material touching the bottle causes the cold to transfer to the wine faster.
As fast as possible: fill a container halfway with ice and then add water, as cold as possible, up to 3/4 of the container. Now you have something that looks like Arctic icebergs in which to dip the bottle. If you add salt, the water cools down even more but remains liquid and will lower the temperature of the wine even more.
.We hope these tips help you this summer! And to never run out of wine, don't forget to order.
